WILDBOAR

A PCMCIA support for BSD/OS

Wildboar is now part of BSD/OS 3.0; Thus We basically do not provide Wildboar code now. If you really need it, please let us know.

Old documentations follows:

WILDBOAR is set of drivers, kernel modification and PCMCIA support code for BSD/OS jointly developed by JAIST, WIDE Project and Foretune.

WILDBOAR is under development and we're testing the software by limited number of people. Although the software seems to work very well, due to the difference of the PCMCIA support and APM BIOS (Advanced Power Management BIOS) implementation, it is very hard to prepare the software which will run on every laptops.

We have plan to distribute it to BSD/OS customers without a fee in future, but currently, only knowledgable enginner can use it due to above problem. So, it is difficult for the End-User to use it.

If you have laptops, and you KNOW how kernel configuration work, how BSD/OS device driver work, and have time to write a report to us, we're happy to welcome you to the development team. If so, please read the direction below to apply.

Current tested laptop list and Current tested Card list is now available.

Latest release note for 2.1 based Wildboar is here.

We're going to use PGP to distribute the alpha-test package. So please follow step below.

AGAIN: We're not providing 2.1 based Wildboar anymore. Please use BSD/OS 3.0 which contains wildboar. Send following form if and only if you're desparately need it.
